What is different between the two score modes?

TrackMyGolf supports two modes of score tracking:

  • Simple mode: You count the strokes for each hole, then simply record the total strokes in the app.
  • Pro mode: You track every shot, including the GPS location and the club used. It is only a bit more work (because we automate most with auto shot detection), but you gain more insights into your game, such as auto calculating club distances.

The default setting is "Ask", where we ask you which Score Mode to use before each game. But this can be changed in phone app settings page to default to either "Pro" or "Simple".
